Tour de Lauder
Starting and ending in the borders town of Lauder this route has something for everyone and tackles some of the biggest climbs in Berwickshire. The Tour de Lauder is an event synonymous with amazing scenery, challenging routes, fantastic food stops and a welcome second to none – a truly unique event supported by the whole community, with all entry money going straight to the charity partner.
There are 2 Tour de Lauder routes. The “Classic” route which takes riders on an 89 mile tour around the Cols of Berwickshire and the “Nouveau” route which will be the North half of the Tour de Lauder, a shorter 50 mile option but just as challenging.
All riders will start at the same time from Thirlestane Castle but the routes will split at Innerleithen. The “Classic” will head South to Traquair and the “Nouveau” will head North to Heriot, both routes’ final climb will be the Col de Stow and finish back at Thirlestane Castle.
There will be two refreshment stops on the Nouveau route and three on the Classic.
