For the love of it - Get your 2020 cycling inspiration at the Peebles Outdoor Film Festival this weekend
The Scottish Borders are an inspiring place for cycling adventures. Year on year the Peebles Outdoor Film Festival is an excellent platform to inspire you for future plans.
Starting on Friday 24 Jan the festival sees an expanded selection of films, with eight screening sessions over the course of the weekend featuring a ‘best of’ programme of adventure films from around the world. Covering a wide range of interests, from adventure sports and travel to more quirky celebrations of outdoor and mountain culture, it’s a bespoke selection that will make you laugh, cry, gasp, or simply inspire you to plan adventures of your own.
For cyclists there’s plenty to do. The festival starts with a talk by the very entertaining father and son duo Rich and Tom Seipp on Fri at 4.30pm. Fresh from tackling last weekends Strathpuffer together, they will be talking about a recent trip along the Tour Divide – a 2,700-mile pedal from Alberta to New Mexico. Other cycling events include Saturday night’s talk with Karen Darke and Sunday afternoon’s session with world-record holder Jenny Graham, both from the Adventure Syndicate.
